Education Program

A student from Berkeley High School initiated a program that connects Berkeley students with girls at Grace. The purpose of the initiative was to improve the English speaking abilities of Grace Girls. The students devote their Friday evenings to connect with Grace girls and help them with their English homework.

Tutoring : All Grace girls are given access to daily tutoring. All A’level and O’level (Grades 10-13) students have access to daily in-house tutors. At the High-School level, most of our girls study arts and commerce (Econ and accounting management.)  Elementary level students are driven to a Learning Center for after school tutoring.

Vocational Training : Between O and A levels, students have a 6 month gap. During this time the girls are enrolled in government sponsored programs where they can learn vocational subjects such as cooking and sewing. They can also take computer classes and learn English. If they do well they can obtain further certification in those programs.

General Classes : Grace also offers extra-curricular activities that include gardening, dance lessons and karate. A well rounded education is our goal.
